"Musée des Confluences features collections of natural sciences, anthropology, and Earth sciences. The exhibits are organised into four main themes: "Species-The Web of Life," "Societies-The Human Theatre," "Eternities-Visions of the Beyond," and "Origins-Stories of the World." The permanent exhibition includes notable items such as the Choulans mammoth, discovered in 1859, Noh theatre masks, a replica of Sputnik 2, and a particle accelerator. Musée des Confluences houses approximately 2.2 million objects collected over a history spanning half a millennium, from the 17th to the 21st century. Additionally, entry to the museum is free for young people under 18, students from 18-26, and disability.
