MUSÉE DE LA MINE REVIEWS
This museum is a former coal mine. Super interesting to visit if you pass by and you are interested in this kind of stuff. If you book in advance a guided tour (organised by the museum), you will also have the opportunity to visit a replica of the mine galleries, which includes a short underground train ride Suitable for children. Everything is in French, though.
A wonderful exposure to the life of the miners the mine tour experience is well worth it if you're in the area, they fully emerse you in atmosphere when underground, you can smell the coal. Great way to spend a rainy day.
Amazing museum that takes you back in time. We didn’t have time for the guided tour but still enjoyed it a lot. Free entry for students and young people under 25. Thank you for the experience!

MUSÉE D'ART ET D'INDUSTRIE REVIEWS
A truly different and enjoyable museum. A wonderful surprise awaits you in the first room visited. It has quite a large collection of weaving-ribbons, weapons and bikes. In addition to French information, English information is also quite sufficient for foreigners. Another nice detail is that the museum has a separate door for ease of entry for disabled people and people with strollers. The museum staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended.
Lots of cool stuff regarding Saint-Étienne’s industrial history. There were three exhibits when I went: bicycles, ribbons, and guns. I was here just under two hours, it’s great for a rainy day.
It's a very interesying place to discover history about textile engineering in Saint Etiénne.
