"Couriot-Musée de la Mine presents the facilities of a former coal mine. The museum was founded in 1991 in the city of Culture. The museum is also a show mine and presents the chance to visit a reconstructed gallery and the historical buildings of the former mine site. Couriot-Musée de la Mine also offers three permanent exhibition tours. The museum organises and hosts events all year round that make it feel unique: festivals, open days, night visits, temporary exhibitions, artistic installations, concerts, theatre, and readings. They offer free entry for children under 25 years and free entry on the 1st Sunday of each month.

2026 Update: The entire site was listed as a historical monument in January 2011. In December 2014, the inauguration of three new exhibition spaces was presented a part of the museum's collections."
