"Musées de la Ville de Strasbourg has a collection of modern art, and the acquisitions of works by artists both German and Alsatian, as well as French, have enriched the collection. The museum is one of the only French museums to present a representative tour of Western art from 1870 to today. Musées de la Ville de Strasbourg has a contemporary collection that includes New Realists, Fluxus, Arte Povera, Supports Surfaces, and a set of works by the great "deconstructors" of painting or directors of "individual mythologies". The museum features a wheelchair-accessible car park, entrance, and washroom to ensure a comfortable experience for all visitors.

2026 Update: Musées de la Ville de Strasbourg was designed by the Parisian architect Adrien Fainsilber. The museum owns a total of 18,400 works. Numerous exhibitions are organised annually, showing either the works of a particular artist or a retrospective of an artistic genre."
